Illustrator has been with us as long as desktop publishing. Whether you are new to digital drawing or have experience in products like Freehand or CorelDraw, these classes will help you adapt to this vector graphics application.

Desktop Publishing Overview

$149 — Skill Level: Introductory — one–half day, 9:30am–12:30pm

Required knowledge for learning InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Learn the terms and concepts required to build publications, edit images, and create logos and other graphics. We'll talk about and briefly explore each of these software applications as well as learn about color, file formats, resolution, and more. If you have some experience with these ideas and know the role each program plays, you may skip this class.

Adobe Pen Tool Workshop

$149 — Skill Level: Introductory — one–half day, 1:30pm–4:30pm

Just about every graphics program has a challenging but essential technical drawing tool called the Pen Tool. Starting with the insight and hands-on practice this class provides, one can use this tool to generate any arbitrary shape. Learn to create with the Adobe Pen Tool in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Flash.

Explore the breadth of this venerable and ubiquitous 'vector' drawing tool.

Graphic Design Overview

A discussion-driven class on design principles and fundamentals for those who would like a quick but solid overview of compositional rules and principles.
