If you have a previous version of the software, don't worry! Although we're teaching Adobe® Creative Suite® 5, our instructors will point out which features are new and which aren't.
So whether you're using CS5 or its predecessors, our classes will meet your needs.

This hands-on interactive special workshop is designed to take your photography to the next level of creativity and professionalism. A review of your existing images reveals creative direction and helps define your goals. With a balance of the technical and creative, Dave demonstrates advanced camera functions and shooting techniques to improve your images and potential. We discuss the connection of the photographer and subject and developing your intuitive artistic eye. Shooting at a nearby location allows experimentation, and processing in Bridge or Lightroom takes us deep to advanced image controls, adjustment, correction and archiving. Dave also covers image organization, embedding copyright and search data, preparing images for printing and taking your collections online. With a small class size, his diverse knowledge and efffective coaching style, Dave's makes this workshop successful for every participant.

Participants should bring their own digital camera kit and manual, have basic computer skills and bring 6-10 photos to share. with any content-related questions.
About the Instructor

David Julian holds a BFA from Pratt Institute, and is a widely-published and awarded photographer, illustrator and mixed-media artist. His teaching method blends technical processes with pure artistic vision. He has a patient, intuitive teaching manner, and enjoys helping others develop the ability to reach their creative goals. He has published in Nikon World, PRINT, Communication Arts, Archive, Digital Photo Pro, Rangefinder, PC Photo, PhotoMedia, and Layers, to name a few. Active as a portfolio and software consultant, Dave also partners with Canon, Wacom, OnOne and Alien Skin, and leads a 670-member Photoshop User Group in Seattle. His images are represented worldwide by Corbis. When not immersed in his studio filled with unusual collections, he travels, kayaks and teaches private workshops in the Americas and abroad.
